Hello there
This is a quick post to introduce the most key facts about myself that are ultimately shaping the content here in this blog.
At 14 i start going to the gym beacuse i twisted my ankle by playing volleyball which i did from 6 to 26 in a semi professional way. Than i started my carrer as a S&C coach where i honestly got much better results than as a player.
I also broke my posterior cross ligament (PCL) at 16 in a motobike accident and the doctor that time told me that i should keep my leg muscle strong beacuse he didnt want me to do surgery. Became natural to me go to the gym and proudly i can say that the PCL is still broken and i played 10 years without and still doing basically anything i want with my training.
I also suffer low back for decades.
Sooo my mindset into training and movement is obviously more related to how to use it to help the person feelling better and reaching pain free.
I did my studied my courses partecipate at the last 3 Olympics and still running for Los Angeles.
At this time of my life i think i have spent more hours in a fitness room than anywhere else; it is been a while that i am having the feeling and desire to summit some of the points that i have studied and experienced in the gym with my athletes/regolar person and collegues, so finally here i am.
this is a quick post to introduce myself so that you know who is speaking to you.
I've played professional volleyball from 6 to 26 years old (i was ment to become high level player but i couldn't manage mentally and physically)
In the meantime I've completed Sport Science University in Italy (Università degli Studi di Urbino)
I've attended many courses and achieved many certificates around the globe and online recently; in order: "Italian Weight Lifter and Physical Culture Federation Certificate", "PancaFit", "Volleyball and beach volleyball physical trainer", "Tecar therapy", "Knee injury”, “CORE stability”, “postural gymnastic”, "NKT", "NSCA", "Exos", "FMS", "ACE", "MyoFascial release online", "Functional Patterns online".
At 26 y.o. i begun my S&C coach carrier into high level National and Club Volleyball teams which, overall, brougth me to win 2 Champions League title, 1 World Club Cup title, be 3 times silver medal at continent competition, won many national championships and to partecipate to the 2016, 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games.
Right now i live and work in Italy as the S&C coach for a top division club and as a husband and father of 2.
Through my carrier i have been working with many "healty" athletes and regular people, as well as athletes and people with different body issuses (acute and chronic injuries, dysfuntional body, muscle imbalances, asymmetries). These scenarios may accure to both regular person and athletes, at a different levels and with different causes. In any case i like to approach them individually and meticulously to help, who ever is, reach their goals (which can be having pain free life or win a gold medal at Olympic Games).
At this time of my life i think i have spent more hours in a fitness room than anywhere else; it is been a while that i am having the feeling and desire to summit some of the points that i have studied and experienced in the gym with my athletes/regolar person and collegues, so finally here i am.
Especially nowadays, with the social media era, it is easy to get informations just from your phone or computer but, at the same time, it is easy to get confuse or encounter into wrong contents and disinformations.
With these premises, my intentions with this blog, are ultimately to reach and help more people clarify the different components around training and wellness world.
